Secrets to Better Crockpot Cooking

Sunday, September 11, 2016

Secrets to better crockpot cooking. Join our 14 day Healthy Crockpot Creations challenge on Facebook Sept 12 - 26
Crockpot meals can be a lifesaver for busy parents. Throw a few ingredients into the pot in the morning and hit the on button and viola... the whole family has a hot, delicious meal waiting for them after school and work. Although slow cooker meals can be a great convenience, they can also be disappointing if they aren't prepared correctly. Here are some secrets to cooking no-fail crockpot meals:

  1. Use the right size slow cooker. Crockpots range from 1 - 8.5 quarts. Generally speaking, most recipes work best in a 4-6 quart cooker, but refer to your recipe or owner's manual for a suggested size to insure accurate cooking time.
  2. Don't overfill or underfill. Fill your crockpot between 1/2 and 2/3 with ingredients. More or less will affect cooking time.
  3. Keep the lid on. Removing the lid releases heat and slows down cooking time. Resist the urge to remove the lid until the final 45 minutes of cooking to check for doneness.
  4. Plan ahead. Keep in mind, most recipes require a minimum of 6 hours cooking time. The main reason we are using a crockpot is for convenience. Having ingredients on hand and prepared in advance will prevent mess in the kitchen and save you time when you need it most.
  5. For added flavor, brown meats and saute vegetables in a pan first before adding them to the crockpot. Then, de-glaze the saute pan with some liquid like broth or wine, and add the juices to the crockpot for even more richness.
  6. Use the correct temperature for even cooking and to avoid safety hazards and bacteria setting in. Refer to the recipe or your owner's manual for temperature guidelines.
  7. Never add frozen ingredients straight from the freezer to the crockpot. Avoid bacteria by allowing them to thaw overnight in the refrigerator before adding them to the slow cooker. Pre-packaged freezer meals are safe to use frozen as long as you carefully follow the instructions on the package.
  8. Trim fat from meat, and remove skin from poultry ahead of time to avoid a slimy, greasy meal.
  9. Layer foods properly. Place firm vegetables like potatoes, carrots and onions on the bottom and meats on top for even cooking. Place delicate vegetables in during the final 30 - 45 minutes of cooking so they remain firm.
  10. Add dairy during the last 15 minutes of cooking to prevent it from breaking down.
  11. Use caution when cooking with wine. Keeping the lid on the crockpot prevents the alcohol from evaporating. It's best to add it to the meats and vegetables as you brown them ahead of time, or use the wine to de-glaze the pan.
  12. Forget to turn on the crockpot? Don't take any chances. Letting meat and poultry set out a room temperature for an extended period of time can allow bacteria to set in.
  13. You can thicken the cooking juices by letting the lid off and setting the crockpot to high during the final hour of cooking.
  14. Save by purchasing less expensive cuts of meat at the grocery store. These cuts have more fat and are not as tender which makes them more suitable for slow cooking. Cook slow and low and you'll be pleased with the tender and flavorful outcome.
  15. Always brown ground meats first and drain them before placing in the crockpot.
  16. Add seafood during the final hour of cooking to prevent it from becoming too rubbery or breaking down.
  17. Save fresh herbs and cheeses for last. Cooking herbs for too lang can destroy their flavor and cheeses can break down if cooked too long.
  18. To enhance flavor, squeeze some fresh lemon or lime juice, or add a small amount of vinegar to the pot at the very last minute.

15 Tips to help anyone become a rock star Beachbody coach

Work from home and get paid to get fit. Become a Beachbody health and fitness coach. #WAHM #SAHM #homebusiness
A while back, I was enjoying dinner with some family when the conversation shifted to Beachbody. I never set out to be a health and fitness coach, but you know, sometimes it's those unplanned leaps of faith, those little follow-your-heart moments that open doors and lead you something greater. I wanted my family to know that everything they thought about Beachbody, all the misconceptions, all the selfies and endless Facebook posts were for a reason. I enjoy helping people. But then it hit me, they really have no idea what exactly I do, who it is that I'm serving and how in the world I make money. I post my workouts every day, I share health and fitness tips online, I reach out to my challengers to make sure they are on track with their goals, and I have built a team of coaches who I inspire to do the very same things - so how in the world doesn't my own family "get it."

They don't understand because the one thing I never shared, until tonight, was how Beachbody coaching is making such a big impact in my life. So here's the scoop on how I (one of the most unhealthy, unfit, and under motivated people you will ever me) became a successful Beachbody coach and earn income working from home.

Okay, let me rewind for a minute… I started using Beachbody fitness programs shortly after being diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis. I was in my forties, I was a busy mom, and until that point in my life, my health and fitness was not a priority. So when I was advised by my doctor to lose weight, modify my diet and exercise every day to build up my strength, I had no idea where to start.

I researched all kinds of options, like gym memberships, support groups, personal trainers, and fitness classes, and finally decided that Beachbody was the best option that fit into my budget and my busy lifestyle. At the time, $140 sounded like a lot of money to pay for a 30-day fitness and nutrition program, but it turned out to be a small price to pay to improve my health - for good! After that first 30-days I looked and felt better so I kept going. After 60 and then 90-days, I felt like a completely different person so it became my lifestyle.

About 6 months passed when we were watching TV with the kids one night and a 21 Day Fix infomercial came on. My husband, who's known for his sarcastic sense of humor, turned to me and said "You should do that. You should be a Beachbody coach." The kids all thought it was a joke, but this time he was totally serious. I had great results with 21 Day Fix, the kids were going back to school, and he saw an opportunity for me to turn my fitness into a business. Turns out he was absolutely right. Coaching became a way for me to work from home, and to reach out and help other people transform their health and fitness.

My kids now know that this is no laughing matter. When they go off to school they know I am hard at work and 100% focused on helping people, whether it's with fitness or in building a business. And they know that it's every bit as important to our family as my husband's job. I like the fact that the kids see us working together to work things out for our family. We can afford some luxuries that we used to sacrifice, and I no longer feel like I'm adding to the burden.

Curious? Here are 14 Tips to help anyone become a rock star Beachbody coach:

  1. Hard work. Beachbody coaching is not a get rich quick business. It requires some effort. But the key is to stay organized and have a good system to keep things running smoothly and efficiently. Our team of coaches have already gone through the the growing pains and have developed a business model that future coaches can easily duplicate.
  2. Be affiliated with a much larger team of coaches who already has already has an online training academy and business tools in place so you can have your business up and running on day 1!
  3. Choose your own path. You can become a discount coach who simply enrolls to take advantage of a 25% savings on the products you use. Or you can coach part time (1-2 hours a day) to supplement you income, or you can go all in as an entrepreneur and build your business for financial freedom. It's your choice.
  4. Be a product of the product. Workout every day and drink Shakeology, and make sure other people know that. Tell your story. Post about your struggles and accomplishments, and let the world follow your journey! Your transformation will inspire others to make their health a priority.
  5. Be social media savvy. Unlike other businesses with big marketing budgets, you can reach masses people exclusively through social media, and it's completely free.
  6. Have no fear, there's very little risk. There's little overhead other than an internet connection and some office supplies.
  7. No need for an office or fancy home gym. Your office goes where you go. Most coaches will tell you they work right from their kitchen, or on their deck or even working from the car while waiting at the bus stop.
  8. Host monthly challenge groups. A challenge group is an private online support group where people can go for accountability and support, health and nutrition advice, and guidance on making it though the first 30, 60 or 90 days of their health and fitness journey. Challenge groups are perfect for beginners and people are new to fitness and need some help transitioning into a new healthy lifestyle.
  9. Reach out. Stay in touch with people even after they have completed their challenge to make sure they are staying on track with their health and fitness.
  10. Build your tribe. Before long you will established a team of coaches who you can personally mentor and inspire to help others. It's personally rewarding to help others build a business and a life that they once dreamed of. You'll earn bonuses by helping them succeed.
  11. Help other people. Every time someone enrolls in a challenge group and purchases a challenge pack (with all the tools they need to complete their first 30, 60 or 90 days) Beachbody pays you, their coach, a 25% commission.
  12. Enjoy the perks. Receive a 25% discount on products that you buy for personal use.
  13. And the bonuses. Receive incentives like products, apparel, and even trips (that include your family) for reaching goals every month.
  14. Flex time. Work as much or as little as you choose. Your family can remain your #1 priority and you can set your schedule around them.
  15. Look & feel young & healthy. Its the biggest reward of all! The people who you reach out to will help you stay accountable too.

Yoga for Beginners

Thursday, August 25, 2016

3 Week Yoga Retreat is the perfect way to get introduced to yoga. It's perfect for beginners and people who don't have a lot of time. Brenda Ajay brendalajay@gmail.com
Want to try yoga but too intimidated by the complicated poses? Or, do you think you’re simply not flexible enough to contort yourself into a pretzel? Then, you’re going to love 3 Week Yoga Retreat, coming in September exclusively to Beachbody On Demand.

3 Week Yoga Retreat is perfect if you’re new to the yoga mat, as this beginner yoga program will guide you through three weeks of basic yoga classes and help you feel less stressed, improve your flexibility, and increase your balance. The program doesn’t require any equipment (though a yoga mat, yoga block, and a strap are all helpful), and we’ve included a modifier for each of the moves to help ease you in.

3 Week Yoga Retreat makes the moves easy to understand and was designed so you can easily follow along. Beachbody did an extensive search to find four trainers that you’ll not only love, but who are also masters of the practice. This trusted team of four will guide you through each session with cueing so precise you could do the program blindfolded (not that we’d recommend that).

After completing one 30-minute or shorter class a day, you’ll have a deeper understanding of yoga by the end of 21 days. You’ll also have the confidence to hold your own in any yoga class!

Each week builds upon the prior one, and the 21-day program kicks off with Week 1 led by Vytas Baskauskas, a trainer who already has a dedicated following in Los Angeles (and, yes you may have seen him on Survivor!). He’s been studying and practicing yoga for more than 15 years, and approaches the discipline in a functional and technical way that will help you understand not just the poses, but also why they’re important. During that first week Vytas will teach you yoga fundamentals so you can build a solid foundation for the weeks to come.

In Week 2 of the 3 Week Yoga Retreat, Elise picks up where Vytas leaves off, helping you expand on the poses and postures you learned in Week 1. A former dancer turned certified yoga instructor with a background in Vinyasa and Hatha yoga, she’s trained A-list celebrities and motivated countless clients to improve their lives with the practice. Elise says that with this program she “got to draw on my primary passion as a teacher, which is to awaken people to realize their full potential…both on and off the mat.”

He’ll kick your practice up a notch, and you’ll begin to see improvements in both your skills and understanding of yoga. This former Elite Adventure Racer and lifelong athlete is educated in both Iyengar and Ashtanga yoga, and uses his classes to help his students improve their flexibility, strength, and focus. He’s been one of Tony Horton’s yoga teachers for years, is one of the designated yoga teachers for the Tour De France, and knows how to guide you through a practice that may also help you see greater results in higher-intensity programs.

The Classes in 3 Week Yoga Retreat

Mondays are Core. The foundation of yoga starts in your core. This class focuses on exercises that engage, activate, and build awareness of these very important muscles.

Tuesdays are Stretch. This class is aimed at helping you stretch, extend, and lengthen all the muscles in your body with a variety of poses.

Wednesdays are Balance. Challenge yourself with a series of different postures that engage the core and help you develop better balance inside and out.

Thursdays are Flow.
In this class you’ll put together everything you’ve learned so far and connect it with your breathing in a non-stop “flowing” format. This is Vinyasa Flow, Beachbody-style.

Fridays are Flow to Go, a shorter, more advanced version of Thursday’s class.

Saturdays are Relax. Unwind from your week with this relaxing class.

We love this new program and we think you will to. It's easy and doesn't take up a lot of time, but you will feel completely rejuvenated and relaxed when you're done. It's perfect for beginners and people who don't have a lot of time to workout.

Join our sneak peek into Beachbody coaching August 24 on Facebook. Learn how you can turn your fitness into a business and make a positive impact in the lives of others.

If you're a parent, you can probably relate to how frustrating it is to have to have to make sacrifices when you want the most for your family. Each year, for 12 years, when other families went on vacations, we kept telling our kids "maybe next year." That was just the price we paid so I could be a stay-at-home mom. I wanted to change that more than anything. I looked for ways to work from home so I could care for my family and earn some money too. I kid you not, I tried 8 different home based business before I finally landed on something that felt right.

I love helping people solve problems. Becoming a Beachbody coach was a way for me to do that, and in 2 short years I have pushed to make it work and supplement our income so we don't have to make those kinds of sacrifices any more. My husband and kids couldn't be more supportive. When they go off to work and school they know I am hard at work and 100% focused on helping people, whether it's with fitness or in building a business. And it's so rewarding for me to be able to work from home and to finally afford a dream vacation for our family every year.

"All your dreams can come true if you have the courage to pursue them."

How do you stay motivated when you just aren't feelin' it? Part 1

It's not often that I talk about my husband on social media. To be honest, Bill hates social media and doesn't want anything to do with it. But even though he doesn't understand it, he knows I couldn't do my job without it. It's my virtual office, my e-gym, and a way to reach people and help them. Nevertheless, Bill still just rolls his eyes when I jump up and down like an Olympic gold medalist because Autumn Calabrese and Chalene Johnson just "liked" one of my posts!

But all kidding aside, I'm going to break the rules and talk about Bill this one time because he is the biggest reason I stay motivated. Everyone needs a Bill. Someone in their life to hold them accountable and offer encouragement so they keep going. For example, this weekend I really wasn't feelin' it. Being a health and fitness coach is not something that comes easy to me. I'm battling a chronic illness, I've struggled with my weight most of my life, I am not the fittest, thinnest, or most athletic coach out there, but I do it because I love helping people solve their problems. And this weekend I was really doubting myself, and worried that people might not trust me and want my help. In fact while out with friends the other night, someone asked me why I became a Beachbody coach. I couldn't find the words to explain what I have been so passionate about for the last two years. So I copped out and I turned to Bill and said "It was his idea! Bill thought I should be a coach." And it totally shocked me when he replied, "I knew she had to do it and she'd be really good at it. Yeah, she's all over social media, but she really know what she's doing." Just the push I needed.

But this blog is not about me. This is just an example. My point is, who is there for you to turn to when you're doubting yourself? Will they remind you why you started and offer encouragement so that you do not fail?

How do you find an accountability partner?

Post about it. Post your story on social media. Tell people why you're exercising or eating healthy, or why you want to improve your health. Step outside of your comfort zone, be honest and real, and share your story on social media. I challenge you to try it sometime and I promise you someone will pay attention and respond. And that one comment or like is sometimes just the little push you need to keep going.

Don't keep it in the closet. Be open about what it is you are trying to accomplish. Everyone needs health and fitness, including you. Make your friends and family aware of why it is so important that you keep going and succeed. Don't be afraid to ask them to help keep you accountable. Maybe someone will even want to join you.

Join an online accountability group. Online accountability groups are the most convenient way to get fit and stay fit. Everyone in the group is working on improving their health and fitness. You can workout at home whenever it's convenient, and focus on good nutrition. Your peers in the group will have struggles and successes just like you, but they are there to keep each other accountable by interacting in the private group setting.

Are you struggling with staying motivated? Want to try one of our online fitness and nutrition accountability groups? I'd love to know what health and fitness goal you are aiming for. If you want some more information about an accountability group, start by filling out this form.

Beachbody fitness program and coaching helped me recover from rheumatoid arthritis and start living a more fulfilling life. Brenda Ajay, Beachbody coach brendalajay@gmail.com
#TransformationTuesday
I love Tuesdays! I love reading all the amazing transformations in social media. The stories are inspiring and the photos are revealing, but I love that people are honest and unselfish about sharing their experiences. So here's a big high five for everyone out there who shares their story, because someone, somewhere, is going to read it and be changed by it forever.

But often times the story attached to the #TT is only part of the picture. Transformations can be just as much about how you feel as how you look. And most people who start off just wanting to lose weight or improve their health will end up finding so much more.

That's exactly what happened to me. You see, I didn't just wake up one day and decide to become a Beachbody coach. In fact, that was the last thing on my mind. Instead, I found myself with a chronic illness. I was over 40, I was a stay-at-home mom to 3 very busy kids, and I was suffering from debilitating pain and constant fatigue. It lasted for 9 long months before I was finally diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis, an autoimmune disease where the body's immune system mistakenly attacks healthy joint tissue. Although there is no cure for RA, it is possible to manage its symptoms, and that's where my journey with Beachbody and my physical transformation began.

When you're that sick, for so long, it forces you to start thinking about quality of life goals. Not only did I want to lose weight and gain mobility, but I desperately wanted to start living a more fulfilling life. I started thinking about my "someday" dreams and goals - things I dreamed of doing someday when the time was right. And as I became stronger and healthier physically, I convinced myself that it was time to start working on a bigger transformation and start living the life that I dreamed about.

Today I am successfully managing my RA in part with food and fitness. I decided to become a Beachbody coach because I wanted to inspire others to become healthy and live a happy and fulfilling life. I am also a travel consultant, something I passionately wanted to do - someday. When people ask me why I don't just settle for one or the other, I explain that becoming stronger and feeling well again was just the starting point. My transformation gave me the inner strength to seek more. Climbing to the top of the mountain wasn't enough. I wanted everything on the other side. I wanted to live the life that I dreamed of.

Travel is a dream come true, and coaching is a dream that keeps me strong and healthy. I don't make excuses, lots of people work more than one job. For me it's a lot like having more than one child - I love them both equally, even though they are very different.

I went from feeling tired and tangled to healthy and happy, and it all started with a simple exercise program to help me get back on my feet again! I keep it up because working out and eating healthy each and every day helps me think more clearly, have more energy and less pain, stay better focused and organized and get more done. I'm a better wife and mother, and a better travel consultant and coach. This is my story. Maybe you can relate to it. I choose to thrive, not just survive. Maybe you will too.

Are you ready to start your transformation? I would love to hear your story!

Master the 6 most fun moves in Country Heat

Country Heat line dancing is a fun way to get fit while dancing to your favorite country music. Autumn Calabrese, Brenda Ajay, 21 day fix
Adapted from the Beachbody Blog

When it comes to staying motivated: “Studies show that if you’re doing something you love, and you see results, you’re more likely to keep doing it,” says Autumn Calabrese, creator of the new country-dance inspired workout program Country Heat. “That’s what makes Country Heat so effective—who doesn’t love dancing? And when you see how much weight you’re losing by doing the workouts and following the nutrition plan, there will be no stopping you.”

Country Heat is fun and that's what makes it so different and so much more effective, especially for beginners and people who don't like working out. It gets your heart pumping and you'll burn off calories in not time, but it just doesn't feel like working out. We're seeing entire families get together to do this workout - parents, kids, even grandparents! It's just that much fun!

Curious about Country Heat Line Dancing workouts? If you can master these 6 simple moves you'll have no problem with the workouts.

Ride The Horse

“This is a fun move that starts easy but ends with your heart pumping and your legs burning,” says Calabrese.
How to do it: Spread your feet wide, raise your right arm above your head, and hold your left arm out straight in front of your chest. Now alternately lift one foot off the floor as you swing your right arm like your twirling a lasso.

Jump Low

“I love how much this move works your legs and butt,” says Calabrese. “It’s not hard, but it’s incredibly effective.”
How to do it: Stand with your feet together and your hands by your sides. Hop up and rotate left. When you land, immediately drop into a half squat and bring your hands together in front of your chest. Jump up and spread your legs in the air, landing with your arms by your sides and your left heel forward and the ball of your right foot back. Jump up again, bringing your feet and hands back together, and dropping into a half squat when you land. Repeat three times total, and then repeat to your right, moving your right foot forward each time you jump into a staggered stance.

Rocking Guitar

“This move is super high energy,” says Calabrese. “I love that it’s simple to do and brings the heart rate up to burn calories.”
How to do it: Position your hands like you’re playing the air guitar, working the fretboard with your left and strumming with your right. Now turn to your left and hop to the right four times on your left foot as you kick forward with your right foot. Switch hand positions and hop left four times on your right foot while kicking forward with your left foot.

Pancake Flip

“This move brings in the tiniest bit of hip hop flare to the workout,” says Calabrese. “Just try not to have fun while doing it—you won’t be able to.”
How to do it: Take a big step to your left with you left foot, and pump both arms twice like you’re flipping pancakes. Take a big step to your right with your right foot, and flip those pancakes two more times. Now take four small steps back, starting with your left foot. With each step, flip a pancake with the opposite arm.

Under The Table

“This move is deceptively hard,” says Calabrese. “It looks like it should be easy, but boy does it work your legs.”
How to do it: From a standing position, take a big step to your left and descend into a squat, lowering your torso down and up in an arc from right to left (like you’re ducking under a table). Reverse the movement to return to a standing position, and then scoot your feet three times to your left, and three times back to your right.

Wonky Feet

“This is my favorite fun move,” says Calabrese. “It’s carefree, and reminds of being a kid, bouncing around and being silly.”
How to do it: From a standing position, take three small steps forward on your toes, starting with your left foot. Pump your heels inward once after each of the first two steps, and twice after the third step. Now take three steps back, pumping your heels in the same way.

Make August a Happy Ending to a New Beginning!

Sunday, August 7, 2016

August is a great time to start placing a focus on your health and fitness. Start with 21 Day Fix, Country Heat, PiYo or Yoga and join one of our online challenge groups
Here we are, it's August and already the craft stores are setting up the Christmas displays! Like it or not, it's back to school month and our summer is coming to a close. So here's what I'm thinking...

Let's make August a happy ending to a new beginning!

Back to school time is bitter sweet. As much as I hate to send them back, I have to admit, I feel a little selfish and relieved because I can finally find some time for myself. Who's with me?! Not a lot of time, as little as a half an hour a day is just enough to enjoy some quiet time and to refocus on my health and well being. It's easy to get off track with eating healthy and working out in the summer, and August is a great time to start thinking about turning it all around and making some lifestyle adjustments to put your health at the top of your to do list again. Let's face it, you can do a much better job of parenting when you are in good mental and physical health.

Whether you are starting a new health and fitness program or just getting back into the swing of things after the summer, it helps when you have the accountability of some friends who are going through the same journey. Kicking those bad eating and lifestyle habits is not easy, that's why having friends to workout with or someone who's there for you just for support is really important. Having an accountability partner can really help to keep you going on those days when you feel like throwing in the towel. An online challenge group is a great place to go to find accountability and support. It's a virtual group where we exchange recipes and meal plans, tips and advice on how to work fitness and good nutrition into your busy schedule, and share our struggles and accomplishments. It's a great way to socialize and meet some new friends and have a lot of fun too!

Here are 3 more challenge groups coming up in August! If you want to focus on nutrition, start with our 21 Day Fix group, if you're looking for something fun and energetic give Country Heat a try or if you really need something calming and refreshing join our 3-week Yoga and PiYo retreat at the end of the month. There really is something for everyone and all levels of fitness. A challenge pack is required for most challenge groups. It provides you with all the tools you need to complete the challenge and reach your goal. Beachbody gives us their best promotions in August so it's a great time to purchase a challenge pack or add on Shakeology to your program.

Q. What is Country Heat?

COuntry Heat uses the same simple color coded container meal system as 21 Day Fix. Brenda Ajay brendalajay@gmail.com
Country Heat is a new country music inspired dance workout created by Autumn Calabrese. It's a 30-day program that combines simple dance fitness routines and an easy to follow meal plan that uses the same color-coded portion control container system as 21 Day Fix.

Q. Who is Country Heat for?

Anyone who's looking for a simple, fun, and effective way to lose weight and get fit. There are no complicated moves, no weights or equipment—just follow along and you'll be dancing right from Day One. Like 21 Day Fix but getting bored with the workouts? You'll love Country Heat because it follows the sale color-coded, portion control meal system. So you can continue to lose weight and improve. This program is also a great choice for people who like Zumba, and are fans of country music.

Q. Can beginners do Country Heat?

Yes, the moves are very simple and easy to follow. Autumn teaches you two steps at a time, then moves on to the next two steps. And you don't need to memorize anything.

Q. What if I'm already fit? Is this program too easy?

No. While Country Heat is perfect for beginners, it's also a great cardio-based workout for people at all fitness levels who like to dance or want to stay in shape. Don't be fooled—you're going to work up a sweat burning those calories, even if you're already fit!

Q. What if I can't dance?

Anyone can do 21 Day Fix! Just learn 2 moves at a time and the move on. Brenda Ajay brendalajay@gmail.com
Country Heat is a great choice for people who like to dance but are intimidated by choreography. With Country Heat, you don't need to know how to dance. You just follow Autumn's lead the best that you can and have a blast!

Q. Are the workouts hard?

Country Heat workouts are simple enough that anyone can do them. That's the beauty of the program. Autumn shows you two steps at a time before she moves on to the next two steps. She designed it that way so people will find the routines easy to follow and stick with the program, which is the best way to get results.

Q. Will I lose weight doing Country Heat?

You can lose weight with Country Heat as long as that is your goal.
Yes, as long as weight loss is your goal. To see results you need to follow the workouts to the best of your ability and follow a meal plan that comes with the program. The program takes 30-days to complete. If you follow the program like it is designed for 30-days you will see results.

Q. Why do people drink Shakeology with this program?

Shakeology is not required to do this program, but it will increase your chances for success. Shakeolgy just guarantees that you are getting the nutrition that you need to fuel your workouts every day and it also helps you to maintain your energy level and balance your digestion throughout the program. People in the transformation photos that you've seen have completed the program with Shakeology. Click here to learn more about Shakeology.

Q. I have arthritis and can't do high impact exercises. Can I do Country Heat?

Country Heat is a low impact fitness program and is safe for most people with restrictions and limited mobility. I have arthritis too and haven't experienced any negative effects to my health. But of course we advise you to ask your doctor for advice before you begin any fitness program.

Q. What equipment will I need?

None. You'll get fit using your own body movements. We just recommend wearing a comfortable pair of athletic shoes.

Q. What's the music like?

Country Heat workouts are set to some of the same upbeat country music that you listen to on the radio. Brenda Ajay brendalajay@gmail.com
Country Heat features the hottest country music, using songs that you've probably heard on the radio. Not only did Autumn pick these songs for their popularity, she specifically matched her moves to the faster and slower beats to create the perfect interval training within each routine.

A Country Heat Challenge Pack is required to complete this group.

To help you get the best results, their are optional Dance Conditioning workouts throughout the 30 days. You can choose to do the added workouts if you want to kick your metabolism into high gear and  burn even more calories. The workout calendar also includes one rest day per week, but if you prefer, you can do a Dance Conditioning workout on the rest day instead of adding it to a dance workout day.

Q. Do I need a lot of space?

You need about a 6 ft square area to do the workouts. Most people are able to do it right in their living room or in their garage.

Q. Is there a modifier?

Yes. Just like other Beachbody programs, there is a person on the set who is doing a modified version of the workout, usually just a little slower and with less intensity. You can follow the modifier through the entire program if you need to, and still achieve great results.

Will I lose weight doing Country Heat?

You're probably wondering if the Country Heat dance workout is a good way to lose weight.
The answer is YES, if weight loss is your goal.

If you love really upbeat country music, this is a fantastic way to have fun, get fit... and lose weight.
But it's still a cardio workout. You will definitely work up a sweat! You don't need any equipment, but you will be using your own body weight to tighten and tone your muscles.
Country Heat is a fun way to get fit and lose weight. It doesn't even feel like exercise! If you like country music you'll love this new dance workout from Autumn Calabrese and the makers of 21 Day Fix. Contact Brenda Ajay askcoachbrenda@gmail.com

Participants in the test groups have had amazing results with Country Heat, but to achieve the best results possible, you need to follow through with the program the way it is designed. Country Heat, like other Beachbody fitness programs is based on a 3-part recipe for success:
Fitness + Nutrition + Support = Results

Autumn Calabrese and the makers of Country Heat wanted this fitness program to be fun and not feel like working out, but at the same time, it had to be effective. They also realized that it had to fit into a busy lifestyle. The final product is one that incorporates a series of fun 30-minute dance workouts, with a sensible yet easy to prepare meal plan, and a framework of support from Beachbody coaches all over the US and Canada.

If you follow Country Heat just as it is designed, by completing a workout and following the nutritional guide every day for 30 days, you will see results. The workouts are quick, just 30 minutes each day, and easy enough for any beginner, and meals can be prepared in minutes using foods from an approved foods list. Just like 21 Day Fix, the program uses a color-coded portion control meal system that takes all the guess work out of eating. No adding up calories or counting points. Country Heat was designed with busy people in mind. It's designed to simplify your life, not add more work and frustration.

To achieve the absolute best results, the people featured in these before and after transformation photos added Shakeology to their nutritional plan. Although Shakeology is not required, it is a great way to make sure that your body receives the required amount of nutrients and minerals every day. It also helps to eliminate cravings for junk food, and keeps your digestive system balanced. Shakeology is the perfect meal to reach for when you're on the go. Simply shake it up with some liquid and you've got the perfect meal.
